Fountain Pens & Rollerballs

Fountain pens and Rollerballs ranging from the 'slim' Baron and Sedonas suitable for a smaller hand, to the much larger Gentleman's Fountain which as the name suggests is more suited to a larger hand. The Classic style is made to same high specification as the larger Gentleman but is more suited to a smaller hand. The Rollerballs are ideal for those who prefer to write in ink but prefer the convenience of a Rollerball.

I have now included Rollerballs with the Fountain Pens as they write like a Fountain Pen but are suited to those who like to write in ink but prefer the convenience of a Rollerball. The Rollerballs are either Platinum or Gold plated.

NEW: Introducing the Smaller Classic Gentleman's Fountain pen and Rollerball. These have the same high specification as the Gentleman's Pens but are half the size and will therefore be ideal for those who prefer a smaller pen but still like the styling of the Gentleman's pen.

Classic Gentleman's Fountain pen in Myrtle with Rhodium and 22k Gold detailing

The Myrtle (Myrtus) is a genus of one or two species of flowering plants in the family Myrtaceae native to southern Europe. They are evergreen shrubs or small trees growing to 5 m tall. The leaves are entire 3-5 cm long with a fragrant essential oils. The star-like flowers have five petals and sepals and numerous stamens. Petals are usually white. The fruits are globose blue-black berries containing several seeds. During the 18 C plant hunters brought these trees over to Britain and grew them as specimen trees the trees are now found in a few park areas in southern England.

Classic Gentleman's Fountain pen in Quilted Maple with Rhodium and 22k Gold detailing

Quilted Maple (Acer saccharum) The North American sugar maple gives us glorious autumn colours and maple syrup as well as this usually uniformly pale timber with its definite attractive lustre. This stunning figuring is caused by compression of the timber normally caused by stresses to the timber (high winds etc). The figuring is sometimes apparent before the tree is sawn by a rippled affect seen on the bark of the tree.

Classic Gentleman's Fountain Pen in Spalted Elm Burr with Rhodium and 22k Gold detailing

Elm Burr (Ulmus procera) The Burrs are taken from a growth seen on the outside of the tree where branches have not formed properly. As a result the grain forms in swirls and curls. The spalting is caused by a natural fungal attack whilst the tree is drying . All wood has been stabilised before being turned into pens.
